Solar PV Plans require a roof layout showing the roof dimensions for your solar project. A hand sketch or aerial imagery showing the dimensions of the roof will provide us with enough information to design your solar project. There are many online companies that offer aerial imagery that can help provide us with your roof dimensions. Contact us for a list of aerial imagery providers that we recommend. Ground mount solar arrays will require a layout showing the orientation of the array and dimensions from the property line. In addition, we will also need a description or sketch of the location of the major system components and electrical locations.
Solar PV Plans does not offer engineering stamps at this time. It is typical, for systems under 15kW, that the general structural letter from the racking manufacturer is all that is required. There are many solar engineering firms that specialize in structural and electrical engineering stamps. Check with your local building authority to see what they require.
